about

This EP was recorded and produced in Humboldt County, California during the spring of 2019 with much hard work, long nights, collaboration and absolute fun in the name of trying to make good music. I cannot thank Justin Grimaldo enough for his partnership in taking on this project with me as producer and becoming my dear friend in the process. Without you I'd not have something I could be so proud of as I am this. I'd also like to thank Cayla Hope Davis, Josef Walker, Nathan Tubbs, Ben Stoeck and Isaac Roinas for your giving and hard work in adding so much sound and space to this record. I'd like to thank my Maker for believing in me more than I ever can and my family and friends for all your support. And lastly, I'd like to thank every person who gives this thing a listen, because that's why we did this all in the first place.

Track Name: Weakness
I'm soft now
It took me a year and a half to get here
Anyhow
I was gone then
Don't hold it against me
I saw you now and then

In my dreams
In my dreams
Yeah I found you in them

I'm nursing my wounds
I got that from you
This one is still red
I held my shirt open
Open fire doesn't hurt
Too bad I said

In my dreams
In my dreams
You never walk ahead

Don't give me those eyes
They're not how I
Remember you use them for
Close your door
Without me inside
You got a damn good reason why

In my dreams
In my dreams
You're still speaking
In my dreams
In my dreams
I'm your weakness

I recall every word
Don't you understand
I feel everything I need
Track Name: Let Me Down
If you're ever gonna let me down
Then do it now
Say it clear right in my eyes
Otherwise I'm sticking around

There's a picture on a wall somewhere
Of us shaking hands
But you know it's gonna take me a while
To come back from spoiled plans

But I can
If you want me to

If you're ever gonna break my heart
Then do it soon
Confess your love in the morning
Take it back by the afternoon
Cause you know that it's not like me
To give up on somebody
You know that it's not like me
To give up on you

But I can
If you want me to

I don't mind diving in if I find surface in the end
I could hold my breath for hours, even years, it just depends
And I don't mind heading to war if I know I'm the one to win
But I've come out bleeding before
And I don't think I can afford it again

Baby, that's what he used to say to me
Baby, that's what he used to say to me

If you're gonna be coping out
Then just let me know
I'm a pretty quick packer
Never one for driving slow
If you're ever gonna break my heart
Then break it fast
If you love me
If you love me
If you love me or somethin' like that
If you love me
If you love me
If you love me or somethin' like that
Track Name: Water
I went weightless
Into the water last summer
Baptized in youth
The ocean 'round my waist
I have always been this way
I was always meant to
I've always had these thoughts
I've always told them not
To you
But I had something to offer
When I went weightless
Into the water

So I flew away
Into a sea cloud
Landed in grasses that looked familiar
I was never told how
And I don't belong here
But do I belong there
Do I belong to a place or a name or an old love affair
Cause I had something to offer
When I went tainted
Into new water

And all these people
In the crowds I walk through
They act like they're full on love
Don't worry, it'll never reach you
Cause I feel they're empty
But they don't listen to twenty
And I have something to offer
Aren't you somebody's daughter
Cause I was pushed down by angels
Under the water
Under the water

And someday I will find a place where I can breath again
And I will find it without maps and without oxygen
Cause I'd have nothing to offer
If I went nameless
Into somebody's waters
And I could poison the water
If I went nameless
Into somebody's offers

I want to drive now
Go 'till the sky changes color
I'll change with it, I'll learn how
To add and subtract it's wonder
I could move to Seattle
I heard it rains
A good cleanse from my travels
But what about Maine
I have always been this way
I have always been this way
I have always been this way
Track Name: Perfect Home
When you get home
On a rainy day
And there are tears in my eyes
Will you say
That the water makes them bluer
Kiss the wet away
When I'm the wrongdoer
Will you want to stay

When my skin is old
And my hair is grey
When I'm tarnished and torn
In my last of days
Will you pick me up
On out of bed
And promise the words
That we once said

When we were younger
In our summer skin
A hot July
I was all dressed in
White
With flowers in my hair
Babies and fights
In the next few years

Will my laugh make you hold me
When my youth is gone
Will I be your only
Off and on
And will I be your perfect home
When the shades are drawn
Will I be enough for you
When I ramble on
And on
And on
And on
And on...
